Three individuals, including a schoolgirl, lost their lives in Budaun due to lightning strikes during heavy rainfall. The tragic incidents occurred in the Ushait area of Budaun. The first victim was Kumari Anshika, a 6-year-old second-grade student from Nagasi village. While she was on her way home, she was struck by lightning and died on the spot.
In a separate incident in Mugaria Nagla village, two friends, Bablu Yadav (22) and Rajeev Yadav (25), were riding their bike to the market to buy vegetables when they too were struck by lightning and lost their lives instantly.
The families of the victims were visited by SHO Ushait police station Rajendra Bahadur Singh, who informed them that the bodies were sent for autopsy and the revenue officials were notified about the incidents. The affected families were also promised compensation of Rs 4 lakh each from the state disaster relief fund.
