The NCP’s working committee, which supports Sharad Pawar’s leadership, approved the expulsion of Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare, and nine others who recently joined forces with the NDA. Ajit Pawar and eight colleagues aligned with the Shinde government on July 2. In a display of solidarity, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited Pawar at his residence.
Regarding Ajit Pawar’s claim of having a majority, Sharad Pawar stated that the truth will be revealed and that he would convey any additional information to the Election Commission. He warned those who betrayed the party that they would face severe consequences for their actions.
