Hyderabad police have apprehended a Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader for allegedly using offensive language towards the Vice Chancellor of Telangana Women’s University. The accused, G. Srinivas Yadav, a BRS leader from the Goshamahal constituency in Hyderabad, was arrested based on a complaint filed by Professor M. Vijjulatha, the in-charge Vice Chancellor of the university.
The complaint states that Yadav approached the Vice Chancellor on July 1, posing as a social worker. He claimed to offer free education and scholarships to female students and requested felicitation from the Vice Chancellor. However, instead of providing financial assistance for the development of the Mahila Viswa Vidyalam, as suggested by the Vice Chancellor, Yadav became aggressive and used foul language against her.
Following the incident, the VC promptly lodged a complaint with the Sultan Bazar police station, leading to Yadav’s arrest. He was subsequently produced before the court.
Recently, Osmania University College for Women, also known as Koti Women’s College, was upgraded to Telangana Women’s University, with Professor Vijjulatha being appointed as its first Vice Chancellor.
In conclusion, Hyderabad police have taken swift action against a BRS leader for his alleged disrespectful behavior towards the Vice Chancellor of Telangana Women’s University. The incident highlights the importance of treating all individuals with respect and maintaining a harmonious environment within educational institutions.
