West Bengal Panchayat Polls: BJP Leader Found Dead in Purulia; Investigation Underway

In a shocking incident, the body of Bankim Hansda, a BJP leader and president of the BJP booth committee, was discovered by the West Bengal Police in Purulia district’s Bodo area. Vivek Ranga, BJP District President, confirmed the news by stating, This morning, the police recovered the dead body of a BJP leader named Bankim Hansda, president of the BJP booth committee, from the Jodgoda area.
Purulia DSP Abhijeet Bandopadhyay added, Police recovered the body of a BJP leader named Bankim Hansda from the Bodo area of Purulia district. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
The violence surrounding the Panchayat polls in West Bengal has drawn criticism from various quarters. West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose expressed his concerns about the ongoing violence, describing it as a politics of murder, intimidation, and muscle flexing.
