Nationalist Student Congress Removes Praful Patel’s Photo Frame from Office Following Maharashtra Political Shake-up

In a surprising turn of events, the Nationalist Student Congress (NSC) office in Delhi has removed the photo frame of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)’s working president, Praful Patel. This move comes just a day after Ajit Pawar’s shocking political coup in Maharashtra that has left many in political circles reeling.

Sonia Doohan, the national president of NCP’s student wing, confirmed the removal of Patel’s photo frame and those of other leaders who have left the NCP. According to Doohan, since these individuals are no longer part of the NCP family, it was deemed appropriate to remove their photo frames from the office.

Adding to the turmoil, NCP chief Sharad Pawar has ordered the removal of Sunil Tatkare and Praful Patel’s names from the Register of Members of the NCP Party due to their alleged anti-party activities.

In response to these developments, Praful Patel denied speculations that he may receive a Union Minister post as part of a political arrangement following Ajit Pawar’s coup. Patel clarified that the party has not discussed anything regarding Delhi and that their primary focus has been on forming the Maharashtra government.

We are the NCP, and that is what we are doing. We will decide if I have to go to Delhi now. We have not discussed anything about Delhi; our only focus has been on the formation of our government in Maharashtra, said Patel while addressing the media.

On Sunday, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, along with eight other NCP leaders, joined the administration led by Eknath Shinde in Maharashtra. Patel was present at the hastily organized swearing-in ceremony held at Raj Bhavan.

When asked if the NCP leaders’ decision to join the Shinde-Fadnavis government was influenced by pressure from the Enforcement Directorate, as alleged by Sharad Pawar, Patel refrained from commenting directly on the matter. He emphasized that the decision to join the government was a collective decision taken by the party and that there was no external pressure involved.

I will not comment on whatever our leader Sharad Pawar has said; he is a highly respectable person. Whatever decision we have taken… as Ajit Pawar mentioned in his press conference, it is the party’s decision, a collective decision. There is no pressure from anyone, Patel stated.

In light of this ongoing political saga, it remains to be seen how Sharad Pawar and the NCP will navigate these turbulent times. With the removal of Patel’s photo frame from the NSC office and his imminent expulsion from the NCP’s register, the party is clearly drawing lines and making a statement about its stance on defectors. The repercussions of these political moves are yet to be fully understood, and Maharashtra’s political landscape hangs in uncertainty as the battle for power wages on.
