Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K. T. Rama Rao has fired back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi following his scathing attack on BRS during a public rally in Khammam. KTR took to Twitter to respond with a pointed rebuttal in Telugu, using rhyming words to deliver his message.

In response to Rahul Gandhi’s description of BRS as ‘BJP Rishtedar Samithi’, KTR referred to Congress as a party of vultures. As the son of BRS president and Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, KTR went on to label the All India Congress Committee (AICC) as the All India Corruption Committee.

KTR did not hold back, accusing Congress of being synonymous with corruption and incompetence. He refuted Rahul Gandhi’s claim that BRS is the BJP’s B-team, asserting that BRS is neither a part of BJP nor a part of Congress. Instead, he stated that BRS is a team capable of taking on both parties single-handedly.

Challenging Congress’ attempts to undermine BRS, KTR asked if the party was conspiring with the BJP to attack them. He confidently predicted that it would be the Congress, not BRS, that would crumble under the weight of their tactics.

Taking a further swipe at Rahul Gandhi, KTR taunted him by suggesting that he had lost control of Congress, comparing it to losing control of a car. He asserted that Congress had already sunk in the Bay of Bengal, while BRS remains close to the hearts of the people.

KTR emphasized that the nine-year rule of BRS has been marked by progress and success, while the ten-year rule of Congress was mired in darkness. He argued that the people of Telangana know that trusting Congress would only bring turmoil to the state once again.

Highlighting Congress’ concerns over the expansion of BRS, KTR questioned whether national politics was their priority. He also addressed Rahul Gandhi’s allegations of corruption in the Kaleshwaram project, pointing out that even the project’s cost does not amount to Rs.1 lakh crore. KTR asked how many times Rahul Gandhi would make baseless allegations and become a source of amusement for the public.

KTR emphasized the positive impacts of the Dharani portal, a land and land records system introduced by the BRS government. He condemned Rahul Gandhi for promising to scrap Dharani and revert to the rule of middlemen, suggesting that the people of Telangana would never forgive him for such a pledge.

Furthermore, KTR ridiculed Rahul Gandhi’s promise of monthly pensions for senior citizens, widows, and others, pointing out that similar promises made in Karnataka were not fulfilled. He also dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s claim that Congress would distribute Podu lands among farmers, arguing that Podu land distribution was already occurring under BRS.

KTR concluded by affirming BRS’ commitment to standing with the poor, contrasting it with Congress’ alleged alliance with brokers and encroachers.

The political sparring between Congress and BRS continues, with both parties trading blows and trying to gain the upper hand. As the battleground heats up, it remains to be seen who will emerge victorious in Telangana’s political landscape.
