Jaipur Revenue Minister Ramlal Jat has announced that the notification for the new districts in the state of Rajasthan will be released soon. However, the districts that are currently facing opposition will only be announced once the issues surrounding them are resolved. Jat emphasized that any changes or additions to the new districts will be made by the committee at the insistence of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
During a recent Cabinet meeting, it was announced that the notification for 19 districts would be released in the coming days. However, this decision has sparked unrest among at least 10 tehsils, or areas, that are demanding district status.
Addressing this concern, Jat clarified that the District Reorganization Committee (DRC) is responsible for deciding on the creation of new districts. The committee takes into account people’s sentiments, geography, and other relevant factors before making recommendations. Ultimately, it is Chief Minister Gehlot who has the final say in the creation of new districts.
Sources have confirmed that the state government has not initiated any processes for additional districts beyond the 19 already announced by Gehlot. However, it is important to note that the upcoming notification may not apply to all 19 districts. Some districts, such as Jaipur Rural and Dudu, may experience delays due to issues related to land demarcation.
While this news may disappoint some areas hoping for district status, it is essential to prioritize resolving any outstanding issues to ensure smooth implementation. Overall, the government aims to create new districts based on careful consideration of various factors, and the notification process will reflect this approach.
