Over 900 Pilgrims Set to Arrive on PIA as Post-Hajj Operations Commence

Pakistan’s post-Hajj flight operation has begun, with thousands of pilgrims set to return home under the government’s Hajj scheme. The state airline, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), along with Airblue, Serene Air, and Saudi Airlines, will be facilitating the return of Pakistani Hajjaj. On the first day, four flights departed from Jeddah, bringing pilgrims to Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.

Bringing over 900 passengers from Jeddah on the first day, PIA will operate flights to Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar. Over the course of the post-Hajj operation, the airline will be running 268 flights until August 2, catering to a total of 61,467 passengers. This includes 41,000 Hajjaj who went under the government scheme, 19,000 Hajjaj who completed the pilgrimage privately, and 600 khuddam.

To ensure a smooth process, PIA has designated teams at the Jeddah and Madinah airports. The airline aims to maintain departures and arrivals on schedule, claiming that 90% will be punctual.

The post-Hajj flights will depart from Madinah and Jeddah, landing in Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, and Peshawar. PIA is prepared to facilitate Pakistani pilgrims during this time and is committed to providing a seamless experience.
