Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has reported strong domestic and export sales for the month of June 2023. The company sold 2,552 units in the domestic market and exported 3,280 units, bringing the total wholesales to 5,832 units. The Nissan Magnite, the company’s best-selling model, played a significant role in driving these impressive numbers.
Rakesh Srivastava, the Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, expressed his confidence in the company’s growth prospects. He highlighted the successful launch of the Nissan Magnite GEZA Special Edition, which marked the production of the 100,000th Magnite at the Alliance plant in Chennai. This milestone demonstrates the popularity and demand for the Nissan Magnite, which offers competitive pricing and a strong value proposition in the BSUV segment.
The Nissan Magnite is available in 16 variants, with the base model being the XE and the top variant being the Turbo CVT XV Premium (O). The recent introduction of the Nissan Magnite GEZA Special Edition further enhances the model’s appeal. Starting at INR 7,39,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Magnite GEZA offers advanced features, a powerful performance, and an advanced infotainment system, providing a unique and enjoyable driving experience for Indian customers.
In terms of safety, the Nissan Magnite has achieved a 4-Star Safety Rating for Adult Occupant Safety from Global NCAP, highlighting the company’s commitment to prioritizing safety standards. Nissan has also enhanced the Magnite by introducing additional safety features across all variants and ensuring compliance with BS6 Phase 2 standards. These safety features include Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).
Apart from the domestic market, the Nissan Magnite has also garnered attention in international markets. It is exported to 15 global markets, with recent launches in Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. Nissan India has strategically shifted its primary export market from Europe to Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
