The Scouts Guide: Over 200,000 Pilgrims Guided Safely During Hajj Season
This year’s Hajj season saw the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association playing a vital role in ensuring the safety and guidance of pilgrims. According to statistics from the public service camps in Makkah and the holy sites, a total of 206,582 pilgrims were reported lost, but thanks to the efforts of the scouts, 12,589 of them were guided to the headquarters of their countries’ Hajj missions, while 193,993 received guidance via smart applications.
The service camp scouts carried out an impressive 3,732 missions in Makkah and the holy sites. This outstanding accomplishment can be attributed to the support and encouragement the scouts received from the President of the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Banyan, as well as the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah.
