Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, is set to launch new leases under the Mukhyamantri Urban Land Rights Scheme and an upgraded version of the Deendayal Rasoi Yojana. The inauguration of these schemes is scheduled for July 10 and will be attended by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The urban development and housing minister, Bhupendra Singh, announced these developments during a review of departmental schemes on Friday. The Deendayal Rasoi Yojana aims to provide affordable meals at a nominal rate of Rs 5 per plate. Starting from July 10, 166 permanent kitchens in cities will serve these meals, and an additional 25 mobile Deendayal Rasoi will be operational from August 15.

Under the Chief Minister’s Urban Land Rights Scheme, more than 35,000 new leases will be granted to eligible beneficiaries. This initiative will be implemented simultaneously across the state. Additionally, as part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban, Chief Minister Chouhan will transfer Rs 500 crore directly into the bank accounts of selected beneficiaries with a single click.

Minister Singh emphasized the importance of avoiding road asphalting during the rainy season and instead focusing on constructing cement-concrete roads. He also instructed authorities to expedite the regularization process for illegal colonies and ensure the effective implementation of the new Haththela scheme.

The launch of new leases, alongside affordable meal services and improved urban development projects, demonstrates the government’s commitment to addressing key issues and improving the lives of citizens.

As these schemes are set to be implemented across the state, they will have a far-reaching impact. The provision of affordable meals will benefit not only those facing financial constraints but also contribute to reducing hunger and malnutrition in urban areas. Moreover, the allotment of new leases is expected to provide housing security to thousands of individuals and families.

The efficient transfer of funds under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban showcases the government’s efforts to streamline administrative processes. By simplifying the disbursement of funds, the scheme aims to expedite the construction and completion of houses, ensuring that beneficiaries receive the support they need.

Minister Singh’s instructions regarding road construction also reflect the government’s focus on sustainable development. By prioritizing cement-concrete roads over asphalt during the rainy season, they aim to enhance the durability and longevity of road infrastructure, ultimately benefiting commuters and reducing maintenance costs.

Furthermore, the directive to regulate illegal colonies and implement the Haththela scheme highlights the government’s commitment to maintaining order and improving urban planning. These initiatives will contribute to the overall development and growth of Bhopal, ensuring that the city meets the needs of its residents.

The launch of these schemes on July 10 holds significant promise for the people of Bhopal. By addressing various aspects of urban development, including housing, food security, and infrastructure, the government aims to create a sustainable and inclusive city that caters to the needs of its residents. As Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurates these initiatives, it marks a new chapter in Bhopal’s journey towards progress and prosperity.
