Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment is set to captivate viewers with their upcoming streaming series, ‘Adhura’, as they release an intriguing trailer that promises supernatural occurrences, possession, and dark secrets. The spine-chilling narrative takes us on a journey through a prestigious boarding school in Ooty, with two timelines – 2022 and 2007 – revealing secrets, disappearances, and eerie happenings.
The star-studded cast includes Ishwak Singh, Poojan Chhabra, Rijul Ray, Zoa Morani, Sahil Salathia, and Aru Krishansh Verma, who portray a group of high school friends. Alongside them, Rasika Dugal, Shrenik Arora, and Rahul Dev play pivotal roles in the series, which combines guilt-ridden alumnus Adhiraj (played by Ishwak Singh) and troubled student Vedant (played by Shrenik Arora) in a narrative that blurs the lines between the past and the present. As the shocking truth looms, the batch of 2007 is forced to confront their inner demons while the very core of the school is threatened.
Rasika Dugal, who portrays Supriya, the student counselor in the boarding school, expresses her enthusiasm for the complexity of her character. She states, As an actor, I found it extremely interesting to explore the life of a person who is seemingly in complete control… only to realise, as the story unfolds, that no one is free from their inner demons. That’s why I was thrilled that a character like Supriya came my way. Supriya’s journey is described as captivating as she grapples with her nurturing nature and a terrifying past that refuses to be left behind.
The production is helmed by directors Ananya Banerjee and Gauravv K. Chawla, with Nikkhil Advani’s Emmay Entertainment acting as the producing force behind ‘Adhura’. This exciting new series is set to stream on Prime Video starting July 7.
The delicately balanced exploration of human compassion and the unknown forces that lurk within offers a new genre for audiences to enjoy on Prime Video. Rasika Dugal expresses her hopes that viewers will resonate with the humanness of the story while reveling in its spookiness.
With its supernatural undertones, dark secrets, and thrilling narrative, ‘Adhura’ promises to be an enthralling series that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. Stay tuned as the mystery unfolds starting July 7 on Prime Video.
