Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called for the law and order of the city to be handed over to his government following a recent spate of criminal activity in the Indian capital. Kejriwal accused the central government of not having a plan to address the problem and said that there is jungle raj in Delhi, where nobody is safe. His comments came in response to a meeting called by Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena to discuss the law and order situation. Kejriwal’s call followed a robbery in which two men were allegedly robbed of INR2 lakh ($2,700) at gunpoint inside the Pragati Maidan tunnel in broad daylight on Saturday. Two suspects have since been arrested in connection with the incident.
