Ludhiana Administration Conducts Anti-Encroachment Drive, Vacates 7 Acres of Land
The Ludhiana district administration conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Hasanpur Billon village under Samrala subdivision on Monday. An area of over seven acres of land was vacated from private individuals who had been allegedly occupying it illegally for several years.
The team involved in the operation consisted of members from the rural development and panchayat departments, as well as local police. The land has now been handed over to the village panchayat for further action.
Deputy Commissioner Surabhi Malik led the team and highlighted the importance of the operation. Removing illegal settlements is one of the administration’s top priorities, as encroachment causes harm to the environment and disturbs social harmony.
The anti-encroachment drive is a welcome move given the growing number of illegal settlements in the area. Encroachment not only damages the environment but also disrupts the local communities’ happiness and well-being. This action will hopefully deter others from repeating such violations in the future.
The administration is committed to ensuring safety and providing justice to the rightful owners of the land. The government has been working on providing affordable housing and public utilities to all citizens. However, illegal encroachment undermines these efforts and leads to unnecessary land-related disputes that can cause long-term damage to the society.
This operation certainly sends a strong message that the authorities take illegal encroachment seriously and value the interests of the general public. The government will continue to take action and ensure that the land is used strictly for its intended purposes.
