Reliance Foundation’s Founder and Chairperson, Nita Ambani, dedicated two special shows of the International Broadway musical The Sound of Music to 3,400 underprivileged children and senior citizens from NGOs supported by the foundation. The shows were hosted at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) and supported by 18 NGOs in the Education and Sport for All (ESA) programme. The ESA programme has helped Reliance Foundation support children’s dreams through various education and sports projects. The shows aimed to inspire children and make art accessible to all. The shows received an overwhelming response, and the musical made its debut of eight weeks at The Grand Theatre in May this year. The audience enjoyed the performances of the Von Trapp family and cheered along with the live orchestra. They were thrilled to meet the performers after the musical. The effort was backed by Reliance staff volunteers who ensured that the special audience had a comfortable and magical experience.
