Greggs has revealed plans to sell a mammoth ‘yard-long’ sausage roll next week. The three-foot-long pastry delight will come in two flavors classic and vegan and is essentially 17 regular sausage rolls boxed together for a mere £15.
The popular high street bakery chain is launching the giant sausage roll to celebrate National Sausage Roll Day on June 5. These yard-long boxes will be available exclusively via Click+Collect on the Greggs App, operating on a first come first served basis.
This limited-edition box can only be ordered via Click+Collect on the free-to-download Greggs App, which also offers access to a variety of tasty rewards. For every 9 purchases across different categories from hot drinks, sandwiches, bakes to sweet treats app users are rewarded with one completely free item.
Participating shops include the 421-422 Strand branch in London, WC2R 0PS, as well as 162 Buchanan Street in Glasgow, G1 2LW and 21 Southbridge in Edinburgh, EH1 1LL. Other branches taking part include U5 St Mary’s Gate in Manchester, M1 1PX, U14 Central station in Liverpool, L1 1JT and UC Bond St in Leeds, LS1 5BQ.
Additional participating bakeries include 95 Pinestone St in Sheffield, S1 2HJ, 24-32 Northumberland Street in Newcastle, NE1 7DE and 41 High Street in Birmingham, B4 7SL. The final branch offering these items is the 34 Queen Street outlet in Cardiff, CF10 2AG.
New users of the Greggs App also receive a free hot drink of their choice upon registration, as well as a free sweet treat to celebrate their birthday each year. Greggs is also offering a free sausage roll available on Just Eat and Uber Eats with orders over £15 placed on the day.
