112 out of 507 Lok Sabha candidates in West Bengal have criminal cases, according to a study by West Bengal Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR). Of these, 92 have serious charges. BJP’s Barrackpore candidate leads with 93 cases, followed by Dilip Ghosh with 27. TMC has the most crorepati candidates, with 35, followed by BJP, CPI(M), Congress, and SUCI(C). The study also reveals educational qualifications and backgrounds of the candidates.
