At least three people were injured in a knife attack on the metro in the eastern French city of Lyon on Sunday, police confirmed. According to Lyon public prosecutor Thierry Dran, the attack left four people injured, but their lives were not in danger. The police source revealed that two of the victims suffered wounds in the abdomen, while the third was injured in the arm. An investigation into the incident has been launched for attempted homicide. The attack took place near the Jean-Jaures metro station in Lyon, with the regional prefecture stating that the three victims are currently receiving treatment from emergency services. The incident occurred around 2:40 pm on line B near Place Jean-Jaures in Lyon’s 7th district.
