Indian fast-bowler Ishant Sharma has made a massive statement about Mahendra Singh Dhoni, one of India’s most successful former cricket captains. Dhoni is known for his Captain Cool tag, and his calm and composed demeanor on the field. However, Ishant revealed that Dhoni has lost his cool many times and has also abused him on several occasions when he erred in line and length while playing.

In a recent podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia, Ishant debunked the idea of Dhoni being a calm, cool captain, saying, Calm cool toh nai hai, bahot gaali dete hai, mujhe bhi bahot di hai. He added that Dhoni has lost his cool several times on players and sometimes even on match officials while captaining the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Ishant’s statements come after his revelations about Virat Kohli’s lowest phase in his career. The Indian pacer has also revealed that Dhoni has shown uncool behavior towards Kohli as well. During one of the Test matches against Australia, the CSK skipper was unhappy with the way Kohli got out playing an expansive shot knowing Dhawan could not come to bat in the second innings owing to a thumb fracture.

The Test match against Australia had reached a deadlock, and Cheeku (Virat Kohli) got out. We were playing Shikhar Dhawan’s first match, and in the second innings, the Test match became challenging. We managed to win, but it got stuck in the second innings. Shikhar couldn’t bat due to a thumb fracture. Mahi Bhai (MS Dhoni) said to Cheeku after the match, ‘When you know we have a shortage of batsmen, why did you attempt that shot?’ He didn’t get angry, but his words made Virat realize, said Ishant.

Although Dhoni is known for being composed and level-headed, he has shown his aggressive side many times. In recent times, his behavior on the field has been in the spotlight, especially while captaining the CSK team in the IPL. While some fans have criticized Dhoni for his conduct, others believe that it is just his way of keeping the team motivated and focused.

At present, Dhoni is enjoying quality family time at home in Ranchi, following successful surgery on his knee. His rehabilitation program will soon start, and fans of the former captain are eagerly anticipating his return to cricket. Although Ishant’s statements have raised some eyebrows, Dhoni’s legendary status as one of India’s most successful captains remains intact.
