Indore: City Trader Duped Of Rs 79L By Pune-Based Firm
Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Palasia police registered a case against eight people including a couple for duping a city’s trader of Rs 79 lakh on Saturday. The complaint, lodged by Ritesh Kandelwal, director of Aegis Infotech Pvt Ltd, highlighted that his company, a legal seller of Apple products, was approached by a Pune-based firm named WM Innovative Technocon LLP. The accused individuals had posed as intermediaries, claiming a third-party company required Apple products for educational institutes in Maharashtra. However, after sending products worth Rs 85 lakh and receiving only Rs 6 lakh in return, the trader discovered that the original third party had not placed any orders. The accused had instead sold the products in the market, leaving Kandelwal deceived. Authorities are conducting a thorough investigation under relevant sections of the IPC.
