India and Egypt are strengthening their bilateral ties, according to former Indian diplomat KP Fabian. The recent conferring of Egypt’s highest state honour upon Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi indicates a commitment to deepening ties between the two nations. Fabian also provided commentary on the ongoing Russian crisis, stating that Wagner mercenary forces Chief Yevgeny Prigozhin will relocate to Belarus and there will be no further proceedings against him or his mercenaries. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko negotiated an agreement to de-escalate tensions, which resulted in Putin’s agreement to halt the march to Moscow.
Fabian also addressed Russian democracy, noting that while Russia is not a democracy, the current crisis has been resolved, and Putin has brought it to a close. Wagner Chief Prigozhin will move to Belarus, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitri S Peskov, and fighters who rebelled with him will not be prosecuted by law, given their service at the front.
