A man and his daughter tragically lost their lives in Gujarat’s Vadali after a parcel bomb, allegedly sent by the wife’s lover, exploded at their residence. The victims, identified as 32-year-old Jeetubhai Heerabhai Vanjara and 12-year-old Bhumika, suffered fatal injuries in the blast. Jeetubhai, a labourer, was killed instantly, while Bhumika succumbed to her injuries en route to the hospital. The suspect, 31-year-old Jayantibhai Balusingh Vanjara, is believed to have sent the parcel disguised as a tape recorder, which detonated when Jeetubhai attempted to plug it in. The motive behind the attack was Jayantibhai’s apparent displeasure over Jeetubhai’s marriage to his former girlfriend. The tragic incident has left the community in shock, with two other daughters of Jeetubhai also sustaining severe injuries and undergoing treatment at the hospital. The suspect has been arrested by the police following detailed investigations that led to his identification through CCTV footage and the auto-rickshaw driver’s statement. The case underscores the importance of thorough police work in solving heinous crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice.
