The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) stated Monday that new evidence has been discovered in the 2015 Telfair County double murder case involving Bud and June Runion. A citizen found crucial items while magnet fishing, leading to an execution of search warrants by GBI agents and the Telfair County Sheriff’s Office. Ronnie Jay Towns, previously charged in connection with the deaths, will face trial in August as per the current schedule. Anyone with information is urged to contact the GBI Regional Investigative Office.
