Gas prices in Connecticut climb 20 cents from last week, reaching an average of $3.70 per gallon, according to AAA. This represents a noticeable increase from the previous month. Windham and lower Fairfield County areas reported the highest gas prices in the state at $3.74 per gallon. Despite these spikes, Alec Slatky from AAA Northeast suggests that the pace of price increases may slow down due to improved regional gasoline inventories and recent drops in oil prices. The national average gas price stands at $3.67, with the lowest prices in Mississippi at $3.10 and the highest in California at $5.43.
