Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized opposition parties attempting to forge an alliance ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and accused them of being with Congress, which he claimed had tried to smother democracy by declaring emergency in the country on June 25, 1975. Addressing a public meeting after launching 124 development projects worth Rs 1,719 crores of Noida and Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority, Yogi said that parties doing politics in the name of Jai Prakash Narain and Dr Ram Manohar Lohia were colluding with those who were responsible for strangling democratic values during the emergency period.

Stressing on India’s new heights of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the CM predicted that Pakistan, which separated from India, would struggle similarly to mafia in UP because of its misdeeds. Yogi paid tribute to all those who fought to safeguard the country’s democracy. He accused Samajwadi Party (SP), Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), and Janata Dal (United) of colluding with Congress, who they claimed want to kill democratic values.

Yogi further stated that PM Modi gave a new direction to the country under his visionary leadership with positive thinking. India dominated the global stage with two significant achievements during the Independence year – getting the presidency of G-20 and emerging as the fifth-largest economy in the world. The CM declared that people’s perception of Gautam Buddha Nagar had changed due to the development projects and infrastructure facilities such as Medical Device Park, Jewar International Airport, and Film City.

Lastly, Yogi emphasized his government’s top priority to solve farmers’ problems through dialogue and tackle the anti-development and negative forces. On the occasion, he flagged off and handed over new Bolero vehicles to the Noida Police for the public safety, and the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was exchanged symbolically between Noida Development Authority, Greater Noida Development Authority, and National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for municipal solid waste management.

In conclusion, Yogi lashed out at opposition parties, warning the public of their alliance with Congress that had tried to kill democracy. He attributed India’s new heights of development to PM Modi’s visionary leadership and hailed the ongoing development projects in Gautam Buddha Nagar.
