A member of the Sawarna Kranti Sena, Krishna Singh Kallu, has filed a written complaint with Patna traffic police against leaders attending an opposition meeting in Patna for allegedly breaking traffic laws by not wearing seat belts. The meeting was called to forge opposition unity to take on the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. In his letter, Krishna claims to have pictures of the leaders who did not follow traffic rules and appealed to the traffic police to issue a challan against them. The opposition meeting was attended by leaders of parties opposing the BJP. More than 15 opposition parties attended the meeting held at the official residence of Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) leader Nitish Kumar. The meeting was held in Patna as it represents the 1974 call of a total revolution by Jayaprakash Narayan that toppled Indira Gandhi’s majority government. In his letter, Krishna also mentioned that earlier BJP MP Manoj Tiwari and self-styled godman Dhriendra Shastri were found violating traffic rules, and challans were issued against them.
