At least 15 dead in Istanbul nightclub fire, Turkey

NEW DELHI: At least 15 people were killed and several injured when a fire broke out at nightclub in Istanbul, Reuters reported.

The number of people who lost their lives in the fire in the Gayrettepe neighbourhood is now at 15 dead and eight people have been hurt, seven of them severely, AFP reported quoting governor Davut Gul’s office.

The fire is under control.Let’s hope there are no further victims, Imamoglu said.

The nightclub was closed for repairs and stood on the ground floor of a 16-story residential building.
