The weather of Madhya Pradesh has changed for the fourth time in March due to cyclonic circulation, trough, and western disturbance. On Friday, there was a hailstorm in Morena, while in Khargone a woman died due to lightning. There was light drizzle, thunderstorm, and a cloudy sky in Gwalior, Sagar, Ratlam, and Bhopal. Heat also had an impact in many cities, with Damoh recording a scorching temperature of 42.5 degrees. Similar weather conditions are expected to prevail on Saturday.
According to the Meteorologists, light drizzle is expected in several districts including Sagar, Damoh, Jabalpur, Panna, Dindori, Umaria, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, and Maihar on Saturday. Senior Scientist Divya E. Surendran from IMD Bhopal mentioned that the moisture influx is due to the active western disturbance, trough line, and cyclonic circulation system, causing a mix of hot weather and rainfall in different areas. Light rain, thunderstorms, and moderate winds of 30 to 40 km per hour are anticipated.
In the capital Bhopal, a mix of sunny and shady weather has been observed, with cloudy skies and occasional drizzles. This pattern is expected to persist over the next few days. The mercury rose above 40 degrees in several cities on Friday, with Damoh experiencing the highest temperature at 42.5 degrees. 11 cities recorded temperatures over 40 degrees, with Guna, Shivpuri, Mandla, and Tikamgarh exceeding 41 degrees. Other cities like Khajuraho, Sagar, Khandwa, Naugaon, Umaria, and Satna also saw temperatures reaching or exceeding 40 degrees, indicating a spike in heat levels across the region.
