New Delhi [India], March 27 (ANI): The Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party released the third list of 9 candidates for the Sikkim Assembly elections on Tuesday.
Bharat Kumar Sharma has been fielded from the Gyalshing-Bamyak constituency, Janak Kumar from Gurung and Bhupendra Giri will contest from Temi-Namphing. Gopi Das Pokhrel will contest from Rangang-Yangang, Chetan Sapkota from Khamdong-Singtam and Prem Chettri Khatiwara will contest from Rhenock.
Duknath Nepal will be contesting from the Chujachen constituency, Pooja Sharma from Namcheybong and Penzong Lepcha have also been fielded from Dzongu.
The list was announced following a meeting of the Central Election Committee of the party. BJP aims to strengthen its position in Sikkim Assembly with a fresh wave of candidates to contest in the upcoming elections. The party’s consistent rollout of candidate lists highlights its strategic approach to securing a substantial presence in the region.
The Lok Sabha and state assembly elections in Sikkim are gearing up for an intense showdown as the deadline approaches swiftly.
