BOCA RATON, Fla. — Harold Terens and his fiancee Jeanne Swerlin are gearing up for a special wedding near the historic beaches where US troops landed during World War II. The 100-year-old veteran and his 96-year-old partner will exchange vows in June, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of France’s liberation from the Nazis. Terens, a former US Army Air Forces corporal, and Swerlin, who both lost their spouses, found love later in life and are now preparing for a heartfelt ceremony in a town near the impactful D-Day landing sites.
