Hosts France are placed in Group A as per the men’s football draw in the Paris Olympics 2024 along with the United States, New Zealand, and the winner of the AFC and CAF playoffs.
In Group C, Spain are drawn with Egypt, the Dominican Republic, and the second-best-placed team from Asia.
On the other hand, Group D features the top-placed Asian team who will be challenged by Paraguay, Mali, and Israel.
In the Olympic football event, the men’s teams will face off in the U-23 competition with a maximum of three players above the age of 23 allowed per side.
Lionel Messi’s participation in the games for Argentina is yet to be confirmed as he has an action-packed domestic calendar in front of him for Inter Miami.
He will also be leading the senior side in the Copa America 2024.
