Noida’s Basic Siksha Adhikari, Aishwarya Lakshmi, has warned primary and upper primary school teachers in the area that no negligence will be tolerated when schools reopen in July. Following previous reports of schools not functioning correctly or teachers being absent from classrooms, the BSA stated that negligence would be strictly punished in future. Speaking to principals of government schools, Lakshmi reminded them that only 35 schools had been given NIPUN status so far, and the rest must work hard to receive the same accreditation once the upcoming academic year starts. Lakshmi also set a student enrollment target of one lakh for the year and instructed schools to provide facilities for students without Aadhaar cards.
Teachers will be evaluated every two weeks, and those that reach their targets will be honoured at a district level. BSA said teachers must turn up on time to ensure maximum student attendance to maintain educational standards. A door-to-door campaign will be launched for communicable disease control, raising awareness among students and parents.
District Institute of Education & Training (DIET) principal, Raj Singh Yadav, announced that 388 out of 498 schools need to be made NIPUN by cluster teachers, ARP, and SRG. 50% of the schools should be declared NIPUN by July, while the remaining 50% must achieve the same status by September.
