CSI: Vegas fans ‘demand a refund’ after feeling ‘robbed’ by infuriating twist
CSI: Vegas has caught some backlash from fans after the show’s recent episode didn’t meet viewers’ expectations.
CSI: Vegas lovers wanted nothing more than for the show’s characters Joshua Josh Folsom (Matt Lauria) and Ahalya Allie Rajan (Mandeep Dhillon) to become an item.
The CSI: Vegas fandom has been shipping Josh and Allie together, dubbing them Ransom, and referring to themselves as Ransom Nation.
So it makes sense as to why several supporters were outraged that at the end of the program’s newest episode, Allie wasn’t rescued by Josh when she was in trouble.
Instead, someone else came and helped her out of her jam.
Many felt robbed of watching Josh swoop in to save her at the end of the episode, and seeing them romantically embrace each other.
On X, fka Twitter, fans ranted about the show’s outcome being a letdown.
Okay WHAT THE HELL just happened in #CSIvegas ??! (Spoilers) Josh being leading the rescue Allie mission and Serena to save her, one fan raged.
And I atleast expected a hug by #Ransom after she is being rescued but- And also, the way Serena is treating Josh… like man? Wtf?!
A second fan added: All that with Josh staying at the crime scene, being on the phone with Allie for hours, being the first one in the building after it was cleared, being the one who found her clue… all for SERENA to get that scene with her… I want a refund
Another agreed: Same!!!! I was like- wait wat? When Serena appeared. I was expecting Josh hugging Allie the moment she was rescued and Serena realizing the thing those two has.
A third person exclaimed: We were ROBBED of a beautiful ransom moment… where tf was Josh!!?!
A fourth complained: (Spoilers) bro.. i just went through high ends of stress and josh wasn’t even the one to go and save allie #csivegas#ransom.
A fifth noted: Real footage of me after watching allie go through all that traumatic stuff and not even getting ONE josh and allie hug #csivegas #ransom, attaching a meme of actress Jennifer Lawrence saying, What do you mean?
CSI: Vegas is a part of the CSI universe, serving as a sequel to the original show, which ran from 2000 to 2015.
The CSI franchise was the most-watched drama series in the world for seven years, between 2006 and 2016.
CSI: Vegas debuted on CBS in 2021.
The crime series, produced by CBS Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer Television, focused on an existential threat to the Las Vegas crime lab.
There is a new team of foreign investigators and veterans in the revival.
In addition to the series regulars such as: William Petersen, Jorja Fox, and Wallace Langham, the new cast will consists of: Paula Newsom, Matt Lauria, Mel Rodriguez, and Mandeep Dhillon.
CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl dished to the Hollywood Reporter about the cast and series revival in 2021, saying: We are thrilled to welcome the next generation of forensic criminalists to the CSI brand and unite them with the legendary characters from the past who we still love, including the extraordinary Billy Petersen and Jorja Fox.
Crimefighting technology has advanced dramatically over the last several years, and combined with classic CSI storytelling, we can’t wait to watch this new CSI team do what they do best: follow the evidence.
