Women entrepreneurs shaping J&K’s future: LG – Greater Kashmir
Gurugram, Mar 17: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the pivotal role of women entrepreneurs in driving the future of Jammu and Kashmir during his participation in the ET Women Conclave-2024 organized by The Times Group. LG Sinha commended the women’s power and highlighted their significant contributions to the growth trajectory of Naya Jammu Kashmir. He praised the women-led development initiatives across rural and remote areas of J&K, emphasizing how women entrepreneurs are instrumental in effecting positive change at the grassroots level.
LG Sinha underscored the remarkable achievements of women entrepreneurs in various sectors such as ITeS, MSMEs, Service Industry, agro-based enterprises, and Handicrafts, attributing their success to unwavering dedication and hard work. He reiterated the J&K administration’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment for the socio-economic empowerment of women in the region.
During the event, LG Sinha also discussed the educational programs focused on skilling and upskilling women, implemented by universities and higher educational institutions in J&K. He emphasized the importance of achieving gender equality in education as a prime objective.
