President Jokowi Inaugurates Revolutionary Paralympic Training Center in Central Java, Indonesia

This groundbreaking project aims to enhance the performance of Indonesian Paralympic athletes. The training center will feature state-of-the-art facilities, including a gym, dormitory, swimming pools, sports fields, and other amenities designed to meet international standards for athletes with disabilities. With an estimated budget of IDR 409 billion and a strategic location near Mount Lawu, the center is envisioned to be a hub for training and inspiration for Paralympians. President Jokowi emphasized the significance of this initiative in elevating Indonesian athletes’ achievements on the regional and international stage. He expressed hopes for continued success in competitions like the ASEAN Paralympics and Asian Paralympics, fostering national pride and serving as a beacon of aspiration for the country. The inauguration ceremony was attended by key officials, including Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo, and other prominent figures. This milestone marks a pivotal moment in Indonesia’s commitment to supporting Paralympic sports and empowering athletes with disabilities to reach their full potential.
