Bengaluru: International Women’s Day celebrations is set for a roaring escalation on Saturday, with about 30 bikers hitting the road at 7am from South End Circle police station and concluding their ride at Forum South Bangalore Mall, near Konanakunte Cross Metro Station, at 10am. The women bikers’ rally by She for Society, Bike Saviours, and Bharat on Wheels will mark the beginning of The Future is SHE campaign by The Times of India.
Following the rally, interactive activities will begin at the mall at 4pm, with fun quiz games and challenges with exciting prizes up for grabs for the audience. A highlight of the event is a panel discussion on Inspiring inclusion in the retail industry, from 6pm to 7pm. This will showcase the contributions and challenges of women in retail. Panellists include Lisa Mukhedkar, founder and CEO of Aukera Diamonds; Sneha Prabeen, founder of Yuvanta; Vachana Shetty, head of marketing at Akshayakalpa Organic; Mala Dhawan, founder-trustee at A Hundred Hands; and Tapasaya Das, general manager of architecture at Forum Malls.
Following the discussion, attendees will be treated to a live performance by the all-women band Kanya. This will conclude a day-long celebration of the spirit of inclusion and a campaign to inspire future generations of women leaders.
