BBC Countryfile viewers were left scratching their heads over the presenter’s choice of outfit, which seemed more suited for a hen party than a weather update.

Sarah Keith-Lucas, 42, appeared on the popular BBC programme to deliver the weekly weather forecast dressed in a red frilly blouse and dark jeans. While she professionally informed viewers about the upcoming weather, some fans couldn’t help but comment on her attire, suggesting she looked ready for a barn dance or a hen night.

One viewer commented: Sarah off to a barn dance afterwards #countryfile.

Another joked: Straight from line dancing club and a third added: I’m afraid this ensemble is more hen night than #countryfile forecast.

A different fan questioned: Why does the weather forecaster have to dress like an extra from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers? , reports the Mirror.

Despite the mixed reactions, not everyone was critical. One admirer defended Sarah’s look, tweeting: Ah, the lovely Sarah Keith-Lucas Nice top with rolled up sleeves and jeans combo. Not checked but hey ho. 8/10 #countryfile #casualweatherperson.

Sarah has been a familiar face on BBC Weather since 2008, regularly presenting the five-day forecasts on Countryfile. She also sometimes presents weather documentaries alongside Nick Miller on BBC News and BBC World News channels.

Last year, Sarah got lots of love from viewers when she took over for Carol Kirkwood on BBC Breakfast. One fan tweeted: I wish Sarah Keith Lucas was Weather presenter on Breakfast permanently! Another person told the presenter they liked her morning weather report: Wow babe! .

In 2022, Sarah was cheered on the show again when she kept going despite a bad cough on live TV. She was called a true professional as she talked about the heatwave on a Sunday show.

Sarah sounded like she had a sore throat and said sorry to everyone watching because of her cough. She said: Excuse me and tried to clear her throat.

Even with the cough, she carried on talking about the hot weather and said: Very sorry for my cough! .

After she finished, BBC hosts Nina Warhurst and Roger Johnson said well done to Sarah. Roger hoped someone would get her a drink of water.

Sarah answered: That’s exactly what I’m going to do! .

Roger told her: Well done, and added: You battled on brilliantly, well done – thank you.

Nina also said: She came through it, well done, Sarah! That is a true professional, she didn’t cough all throughout but she was dying to.
