Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has said that if the party wins in Bihar State, they can win across the country. Addressing party workers in Patna, Kharge also called for unity and working together for the country’s democracy. Rahul Gandhi and Congress leader KC Venugopal were also present at the Bihar State Congress office ahead of the Opposition leaders’ meeting. The meeting aims to bring together opposition parties from across India and forge a united front to take on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. The meeting is being held in Patna as a tribute to Jayaprakash Narayan’s call for total revolution that led to the fall of Indira Gandhi’s government in 1974. Among those attending are West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, and PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti. The leaders are set to hold talks on chalking out a strategy to win the elections.
