Chennai, Feb 19 (PTI) – The AIADMK opposition in Tamil Nadu has criticized the state budget as a mere jugglery of words, with Leader of Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami stating that welfare schemes from the previous regime were being neglected. The BJP also echoed similar sentiments, noting that there is nothing new in the budget. Palaniswami highlighted that resources meant for existing initiatives were now being reallocated to schemes introduced by the current DMK government. This shift has led to concerns about the lack of fresh or impactful proposals in the budget.
