Channel 5 has added a new documentary to its schedule, titled ‘Titanic Sub: Lost at Sea’, which will air live at 7 pm on Thursday night. The documentary will focus on the missing tourist submarine which was lost during its underwater expedition to view the Titanic shipwreck on 18 June. The programme will feature interviews with experts speaking about the science of the vessel and people close to those onboard about the passengers. The submersible is due to run out of its 96-hour oxygen supply around 10 am BST on Thursday. The documentary has been produced by ITN and will be presented by former Football Focus host, Dan Walker.

A Canadian aircraft searching for the sub in the Atlantic Ocean recently detected intermittent banging noises from the vicinity of its last known location. The US Coast Guard clarified that they do not know the source of the noise. The rescue team heard banging sounds every 30 minutes on Tuesday and again four hours later, after additional sonar devices were deployed. Channel 5 has promised to provide the latest information and in-depth analysis of the tragedy.
