The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department is currently in search of a suspect involved in a shooting incident that occurred in Springfield, Maine. The shooting took place late Wednesday night, prompting law enforcement to respond to a residence on Ghost Road after receiving a report of a man who had been shot.
According to reports from WCSH 6, the suspect had already fled the scene before authorities arrived. The individual in question has been identified as Matthew Vandine, a 45-year-old resident of Molunkis. Witnesses at the scene stated that Vandine was accompanied by 32-year-old Noel Wilson when he made his escape.
Eyewitnesses described Vandine as last seen wearing black sweatpants, a hooded sweatshirt, and a half-mask. Currently, there is no update on the condition of the victim who was shot during the incident.
