Nissan has unveiled its updated Juke for 2024, focusing on improving the interior to remain competitive against newer rivals in the small SUV segment. While the exterior changes are minimal, the interior has undergone a significant overhaul, including a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display, improved fit and finish, and a range of new features. The updated Juke also introduces the new N-Sport flagship trim and brings back the popular yellow color option.

The standout feature of the updated Juke is the new 12.3-inch infotainment display, which sits atop a slightly redesigned dashboard that is tilted towards the driver. This larger display is now standard and can be paired with a new 12.3-inch configurable digital instrument cluster. The upgraded infotainment system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and boasts an improved voice recognition system.

Nissan has also made several enhancements to the interior of the Juke. The steering wheel now features a smoother leather-style material, the glovebox is larger, and new seats have been added across most trims. Additionally, the center armrest has been redesigned to provide better support. The Juke now includes an electric handbrake, wireless charging pad, and USB-A/USB-C outlets for all passengers, ensuring it meets the standards of the modern era.

Exterior updates for the 2024 Juke are limited to a revised color palette and new wheel options up to 19 inches in diameter. However, the highlight is the reintroduction of the yellow color option, which was highly requested by customers. Nissan has slightly revised the shade to be paler compared to the previous generation. The color and trim department has also made adjustments to the pearl white and metallic black shades.

As for the powertrain, the 2024 Juke retains the same options as the previous generation. The turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine produces 115 hp and up to 200 Nm of torque, with power sent to the front axle via a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT. The more powerful and efficient Juke Hybrid combines a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 141 hp. The hybrid variant also features a multi-mode automatic transmission.

Production of the 2024 Nissan Juke is already underway at the Sunderland Plant in the UK, with deliveries expected to begin in the coming months. Pricing details will be announced closer to the market launch. The Nissan Juke faces competition from various other small SUVs in Europe, including the Ford Puma, Peugeot 2008, Opel Mokka, Skoda Kamiq, and Renault Captur, among others.

With its updated interior, larger infotainment display, and new features, the 2024 Nissan Juke aims to recapture its position in the highly competitive small SUV segment. The improvements made to the Juke’s interior, combined with its distinctive design and range of powertrain options, make it an attractive choice for crossover enthusiasts. Nissan’s focus on enhancing the Juke’s appeal ensures that it remains relevant against its newer rivals.
