The way to your loved one’s heart is through their tummy, and what better way to show your affection on Valentine’s Day than by preparing a delicious breakfast? Renowned chef Ranveer Brar has shared two easy and budget-friendly recipes that are sure to impress your better half.

First up is the Breakfast Parfait. This delightful dish serves two and is made with simple ingredients easily available in your pantry. You’ll need corn flakes, oats, desiccated coconut, caramel-flavored syrup, raisins, walnuts, almonds, dried cranberries, melon seeds, thick yogurt, chocolate-flavored syrup, fresh fruits such as apples, pears, berries, and peaches, mint leaves, and serving bowls or glasses.

Chef Brar recommends preheating the oven to 170°C. In a large bowl, combine oats, corn flakes, desiccated coconut, nuts, dried fruits, and melon seeds. Add caramel-flavored syrup and mix well. Spread this mixture evenly on an oven tray and bake for 8 to 10 minutes. Be sure to keep an eye on it and avoid burning.

While the mixture is baking, whisk the yogurt with chocolate-flavored syrup in another bowl. Once the oats-corn flakes mixture is ready, it’s time to assemble the parfait. In serving bowls or glasses, start with a thick layer of the chocolate yogurt. Then add the oats-corn flakes mixture, followed by cubed fresh fruit. Spoon another thin layer of yogurt over the fruit and top it off with the remaining oats-corn flakes mix. Garnish with more fruit and mint leaves. Serve chilled and enjoy this delightful breakfast treat.

Next on the menu is Fantasy Pancakes, also serving two. For this recipe, gather milk, an egg, caramel-flavored syrup, melted butter, oats flour, baking powder, a banana, and additional syrup for drizzling.

In a bowl, whisk the egg with milk, melted butter, and caramel-flavored syrup. In a separate bowl, mix oats flour and baking powder. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients. Lightly grease a frying pan with butter and warm it over medium heat. Drop a spoonful of batter into the pan and spread it into a thick pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip the pancake. Once both sides are golden brown, remove it from the pan. Repeat this process with the remaining batter. Garnish the pancakes with banana slices and drizzle caramel-flavored syrup over them.

These two recipes are simple yet delicious ways to surprise your loved one on Valentine’s Day. Chef Ranveer Brar’s expertise ensures that you can create a memorable breakfast without breaking the bank. So put on your apron and get ready to make a romantic morning meal that will make this Valentine’s Day extra special.
