Four persons have been arrested in Jharkhand in connection with the murder of a 55-year-old woman. The incident, which occurred on February 7, was the result of an altercation two days prior. The victim, Namita Devi’s younger son, Ritwik Paswan, had been involved in an argument with one of the accused, Mehtab Khan. Mehtab allegedly orchestrated the murder of Namita Devi as a way to harm Ritwik. The police have clarified that the incident was not linked to a land dispute. Namita Devi was fatally shot by assailants riding motorcycles while she was at a hotel near Sadique Manzil Chowk. The arrests were made following a statement by the victim’s elder son, Vicky Paswan. The individuals arrested in connection with the case have been identified as Bhaskar Pandey alias Monty, Ritesh Kumar alias Mama, Bablu Kumar, and Mehtab. The investigation into the murder is ongoing.
