Jobat (Madhya Pradesh): A decision to host a fair in Jobat amidst ongoing board exams has sparked outrage among parents and education advocates. The fair, taking place at the Jobat police station ground, has been described as a major disruption to students’ studies during this crucial period. Concerned citizens have voiced their dissatisfaction, accusing the municipal council and revenue officers of obtaining permission for the fair through collusion.

The decision has drawn criticism from School of Excellence principal, Arvind Baghel, who expressed concern about the impact on his students. According to Baghel, the noise and distractions caused by the fair are hindering hundreds of children from focusing on their studies.

Families have gone to great lengths to prioritize their children’s education, postponing important events and making sacrifices. However, the fair’s organizers seem to have disregarded the educational needs of the students, attracting further criticism.

The local community is now urging authorities to reconsider their decision and prioritize the students’ education by halting the fair. The late-night noise and commotion surrounding the fairgrounds make it challenging for children to concentrate, adding to the urgency of the situation.

The controversy has led to questioning the judgement of CMO Aarti Khedekar and revenue officer Anuradha Baghel, who approved the fair during such a critical time for students. Their alleged neglect of the educational interests of the students has further exacerbated the situation.

Education advocates are calling for action and urging the authorities to rectify the situation immediately. The fair’s interference with ongoing board exams, CBSE practicals, and exam preparation has raised concerns about the overall well-being and academic performance of students.

As the community rallies together, it remains to be seen whether the authorities will heed their plea and reschedule the fair to ensure students are not unduly affected. The focus now lies on prioritizing education and providing students with an environment conducive to learning during this critical phase.

In the interest of the students and their educational future, it is imperative that the authorities and fair organizers address this matter promptly, forgoing short-sighted decisions in favor of the students’ welfare.
