Hyderabad, India – The NCC Girl Cadets of 1 Telangana Girls Battalion celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, 1326 Girl cadets of the Battalion performed yoga at their respective institutions. The celebrations were held under the theme of ‘Yoga For Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ which emphasizes the importance of yoga in bringing people together as one family.
Out of the 1326 cadets, 250, along with 15 personal instructional staff, 05 Associate NCC Officers, and 02 Girls Cadet Instructors, gathered at the unit premises in RK Puram, to perform yogasanas amidst the natural environment. The commanding officer of the unit, along with his team, organized the complete program for the successful execution of the yoga session.
Participants were led through various yoga postures and breathing exercises, enabling them to experience the positive effects of yoga on their physical and mental wellbeing. The Yogasanas were performed under the expert guidance of Shri Jamman Reddy from AYUSH Namaste Yoga.
The commanding officer, Lt. Col Pradeep Kumar, addressed the gathering with motivating words emphasizing the importance of incorporating yoga into everyday life for sound physical and mental health. The tranquil surroundings helped participants discover the harmony that yoga brings to their lives.
The celebrations were held while adhering to the complete yoga protocol, as mandated for the yoga day. The event was a grand success as it highlighted the significance of Yoga in fostering unity and brotherhood amongst individuals. The NCC Girl Cadets deserve a round of applause for their zealous participation in the International Yoga Day celebrations.
