Jil Sander, the renowned fashion label owned by OTB, has opened its very first standalone store in the U.K. Situated on Bond Street in London, the store’s opening was commemorated with a cocktail reception hosted by the brand’s co-creative directors Lucie and Luke Meier. The store, covering 1,600 square feet across two levels, was designed in collaboration with architecture firm Casper Mueller Kneer. The interior boasts elegant features, including silver-blue travertine, monochrome marble blocks, brass elements, and timber accents.

Expressing their design approach, Lucie and Luke Meier said, We aim at creating spaces where you feel at ease, where the first thing you sense is an atmosphere, rather than an architecture.

Located at 134 Bond Street, the store is nestled among prestigious fashion brands such as Church’s and Brunello Cucinelli, and faces Loewe and Celine. It offers a comprehensive range of women’s and men’s runway and pre-collections, encompassing ready-to-wear garments, shoes, handbags, and accessories.

Highlighting the significance of the U.K. market, Luca Lo Curzio, Jil Sander’s CEO since June of last year, stated that the opening on Bond Street was a natural step in the brand’s retail expansion and an ideal setting to unveil their new store concept. He emphasized that the collaboration with CMK in designing the store’s architecture reinforces their commitment to modern luxury, marked by attention to detail, discipline, and artistic sensibility. According to Lo Curzio, the store’s intimate atmosphere, characterized by its use of natural materials and the elegance and purity of its forms, is highly appreciated by their discerning clientele.

The store launch was celebrated with a star-studded event attended by various notables, including British DJ Benji B, photographer Nikolai von Bismarck, The Witcher star Anna Shaffer, model Anna Cleveland, and India Rose James, granddaughter of the late property magnate and porn publisher Paul Raymond. Also in attendance was OTB founder Renzo Rosso.

Jil Sander currently operates 64 boutiques globally, half of which are situated in Japan and China. Additionally, the brand is available in over 300 select multi-brand retailers worldwide. In the U.K., Jil Sander products can also be found at Harvey Nichols, Harrods, and Dover Street Market.

With its visually stunning store design and esteemed reputation, Jil Sander’s new flagship store on Bond Street is set to captivate fashion enthusiasts and attract a sophisticated clientele. This exciting expansion solidifies Jil Sander’s presence in the U.K. market and paves the way for future growth opportunities.
