Another Indian student, Shreyas Reddy Benigeri, was found dead in Cincinnati, Ohio, as confirmed by the Consulate General of India in New York. Local police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, but foul play is not suspected at this stage. Shreyas Reddy Benigeri was pursuing studies at the Lindner School of Business in Cincinnati. In an official statement, the Consulate expressed sorrow over the demise and assured that they are providing all necessary assistance to the family.

This incident comes in the wake of several unfortunate events involving Indian students in the United States. Recently, Vivek Saini, a 25-year-old Indian MBA graduate, was brutally attacked by a homeless drug addict named Julian Faulkner. The shocking incident, captured on camera, showed Faulkner repeatedly hitting Saini on the head with a hammer.

In another distressing incident, Neel Acharya, an Indian student, was reported missing and later found dead by the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office. His lifeless body was discovered in West Lafayette, Indiana, at 500 Allison Road.

The string of incidents has raised concerns about the safety and security of Indian students studying in the United States. The Consulate General of India in New York has been actively involved in addressing these issues and providing assistance to the affected students and their families. They have urged Indian students to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions while abroad.

The tragic death of Shreyas Reddy Benigeri is a reminder of the importance of ensuring the safety and welfare of international students. Alongside the ongoing investigations, it is crucial for authorities and educational institutions to collaborate in implementing measures that can prevent such incidents and protect the well-being of students.
