The Ghana Hajj Board Secretariat has announced that the last flight to lift pilgrims from Ghana to Saudi Arabia will now leave on Saturday, June 24th, instead of Thursday, June 22nd. This decision came after an emergency meeting to ensure that no paid-up prospective pilgrims are left behind.

Alhaji Saalim Mansuru Bamba, a communication member for the Hajj Board, has stated that 430 pilgrims are expected to be airlifted on the last flight. All travelers scheduled to travel on Saturday are to report to the Hajj Village on Friday, June 23rd, for checks and verification.

The Hajj Board has apologized to all affected pilgrims for the last minute change, stating that it is in the best interest of all stakeholders. The window for fresh Hajj applications for this year has been closed.

The change in schedule is to allow for mop-ups and avoid leaving any Hajj pilgrims behind. The Board assures the public that everything is being done to ensure a smooth operation of all pilgrimages.

The Hajj Board has urged pilgrims to remain calm and have patience as the Board completes the necessary procedures. The Board has assured everyone that their well-being and safety are its top priority. We wish all pilgrims a safe and successful journey.
