Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, may walk out of an opposition party meeting scheduled for Friday in Bihar’s Patna if the Congress party fails to support him on an ordinance issue, according to sources in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Kejriwal wrote a letter on June 21 to opposition leaders, urging them to prioritize discussions on defeating the central government ordinance in Parliament. The Delhi ordinance, which Kejriwal sees as an experiment, could be used by the central government to curtail the rights of non-BJP state governments through similar ordinances, he wrote. The day is not far when the Prime Minister will govern all state governments through 33 Governors and Lieutenant Governors, said Kejriwal. The AAP wants the Congress to clarify its stance on the ordinance matter. If the party doesn’t provide the expected support, Kejriwal may walk out of the upcoming opposition party meeting, said party sources.
